Gautam Rajadhyaksha on Facebook posts about his muse Sridevi

Goes without saying, but we'll announce it anyway, that we adore Gautam Rajadhyaksha, the iconic photographer and the iconographer.

It's a touch of class and a barometer of success, but you truly haven't made it in Bollywood, until you've been shot at least once by Gautamji. The uncluttered manner in which he snaps his subjects, the extraordinary spark he finds in often the most ordinary looking faces, the kindness he shows the people he shoots by reflecting them in such positive light, if his work is a mirror of his soul, then its pure, golden and extraordinarily beautiful.

I also get the overwhelming feeling that even the people he photographs are amazed at how good they end up looking post Gautam da's magic.

He's written about and photographed Sridevi so beautifully, and so often over the past 30 years in so many publications, that most Sridevi fans are fans of Gautam da too.

And on this very special day, August 13, he's written on his Facebook page, "Sri too is an amazing persona. A purring cat off camera a fiery tigress on."

Thrilled to be acknowledged, over-the-moon (another Sri ref - sadaa Chandni!) with his comments.
