Sabyasachi’s creation for Sridevi

Sridevi’s comeback film , English Vinglish, has been selected to be premiered at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival and the star will be seen in a creation specially designed by ace designer Sabyasachi on the occasion.

Sabyasachi has designed all of Sridevi’s dresses in the film and on her special request, the designer of international repute has created a special sari that the star will wear on September 14, the night of the premiere.

Sources say that Sridevi made the special request as she wanted to represent the country on the international stage in pure Indian style. The film, which is scheduled to be part of the highly-coveted Galas’ section at the festival, is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, R. Damani, Sunil Lulla and R. Balki.

It is the story of a woman’s struggle with English and the insecurities she faces because of it. Shot mostly in New York, English Vinglish captures her transformation and promises to be hilarious, touching and sensitive.
