Back in the '90s, when Sridevi suddenly abdicated from her regal role as the Queen of Indian cinema to settle into martial bliss and the joys of motherhood, the topic that cropped up often in the mags & rags were, who would be the next Sridevi? I.e. the next superstar who could possibly have the magical alchemy of not only talent, beauty, grace, style and all the ingredients of a No:1 heroine, but that aura and sheen of a true blue diva.

While there were many nominees for that coveted role, none filled the shoes as spectacularly as Sridevi did. Now, here we are 16 years later and the media in India has indeed found the one to fill in those glass slippers, Sridevi's eldest daughter Jhanvi. Though Sridevi jnr, ie Jhanvi, has never done an interview nor signed a film, there's tremendous buzz in perpetual motion around the young fashionista. A classic example of the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, will the apple of Sridevi's eye, shimmer on screen?
