The most comprehensive fan blog dedicated to India's most beautiful and greatest actress of all-time (in our humble opine!), Sridevi. Sridevi aka Sreedevi, ruled Indian cinema (with awesome performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films) in a career spanning 50 incredible years featuring 266 films. Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.

Hrithik Roshan with Sridevi |
Sridevi attends Rakesh Roshan's 64th birthday bash in an elegant black cocktail dress [for the fashionistas; Sridevi wore a black Chloé asymmetrical ruffle dress with nude ankle straps and a python clutch!].
When it came to photo ops, Krrish star Hrithik Roshan asked the photographers for a keepsake snap with his first heroine, Sridevi! As fans know, Hrithik appeared as a child-artist in Bhagwaan Daada, a film which starred Sridevi, Rajnikanth and Rakesh Roshan. The film was produced by the Roshans.
Many folks from the film industry turned up to wish Roshan Snr, the popular actor, producer and director.

The Model Actress: Sridevi's adverts from the 1980s to 2010!
One of the earliest superstars to join the lucrative advertising bandwagon, Indian actress Sridevi has been posing for the still-camera and brands for decades. Be it lightbulbs, soap, hair-oil, household products or most often and most recently jewellery adverts.
Looking at stills from her early Indian Emporium sari ads from the 1980s, to her regal jewelry ads in recent years, Sridevi hasn't lost any of her innate grace nor her Goddess-ian self.
"Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale her infinite variety..."

Sridevi’s Diwali ritual for daughters Jahnvi and Khushi
Sridevi is not the staunch disciplinarian in the house. She is, in fact, a cool mother, who respects the needs of changing times and tells her daughters — Jahnvi and Khushi — to "take it easy".
With Diwali just round the corner, the actress acknowledges it's no more about getting up in the morning (as early as 4 am) as her parents would insist she do. However, what has stayed constant over the years is her ritual of shopping for them for Diwali.
She reveals, "Every Diwali, I buy them the traditional South Indian Pattu Pavadai (half-saris) from Chennai myself. They can be in any colour, but black. We burst crackers and go for a family dinner, but there are no card parties."
While the actress herself looks lovely in saris, she feels her daughters are too young to drape the whole six yards. "I would love to see them in one, but they are too young. They won't be able to manage it...in a few years' time definitely," she adds.

Celebrating Karva Chauth: Sridevi in 2013
Sridevi, from a still from her film Judaai |
At the residence of actor Anil Kapoor, many members of the Kapoor family gathered and Sridevi was seen leaving the residence in a traditional kanjeevaram red sari, looking gorgeous in her flawless ensemble.
As many who follow know, Karwa Chauth (Hindi: करवा चौथ) is a festival celebrated by Hindu women (mostly in North India but has dispersed in many factions) where married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of life of their husbands. The fast is broken when the couple first see a full moon together.
Though many feminists decry the ritual act of sacrifice, many women follow the tradition annually. To show support for their respective wives, many husbands fast with their spouses simultaneously too.
