Despite its average fare at the box-office, Sridevi shimmered and slithered through this fantasy/thriller, leaving her co-stars in dust. Anupam Kher, who was the new-age villain slipping into the shoes of Amrish Puri, said he hated his own performance in this film but Sridevi was good - as usual.
There are few stars who can rise above an average script and mediocre direction; perhaps the only two are Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi, who through sheer effort and skill try and spin gold out of hay.
We saw the film again recently - and Sridevi is absolutely awesome in it.
No where near as good a film as Nagina. Still, shame they didn't do a third film - made it a trilogy :)
