Kimi Katkar and Sridevi shared a warm camaraderie in the 1980s. The two actresses have spoken well about each other, especially while working in the two films they co-starred in Sone Pe Suhaaga (1988) and Gair Kaanooni (1989).
Rare feat especially as in the 80s, Mumbai media had a nasty habit of pitting one actress after another. These two rose above the petty games. Kimi Katkar spoke about popping into Sridevi's sets and they'd share lunch together. Sridevi always said of her many female co-stars, Kimi Katkar was "very sweet."
