One of the earliest categories we had when we launched the Sridevi fan page (twenty years ago this year!), was a collection of Sridevi's famous fans. Sridevi's seniors, contemporaries, new gen and gen x have all fanned out on Sridevi since the early 1980s - and we've collected as many quotes as humanly possible here.
Be it Amitabh Bachchan calling her performance "immaculate", Rekha stating Sri is her "uncrowned queen", or even her media rivals and contemporaries such as Madhuri Dixit ("She's always been a wonderful performer") or Juhi Chawla ("I've been a fan of Sridevi since the day I joined - since before I joined the industry"). Sridevi has been festooned with praise from the early days.
To a great extent she was blissfully unaware of the fandom from famous people. In interviews when told about celebrity praise, she seemed genuinely shocked and pleasantly surprised.
