Sridevi was NOT to be messed with!

Sridevi was NOT to be messed with. Period.

One of my editor friends commented that though Sridevi wasn't verbose and was the quiet sort on set, shy and kept to herself, rest assured she was NOT to be messed with! Velvet gloves, iron hand!

Sridevi herself spoke about what made her angry (lack of discipline, being late) and she certainly kept the tabloid press at arm's length - which is why I found it laughable when a poor writer claimed to be 'close friends' with Sridevi and published a book. When the presumption is that ludicrous, how flawed was the book going to be? From what I've heard so far - it's awful. More on that later! 

Think the only journalist Sridevi ever mentioned was Meena Iyer and in the press, she was fond of two photographers; the late great Gautam Rajadhyaksha and her most frequent collaborator Rakesh Shreshta.
