Sridevi with Mithun Chakraborty

Sridevi with Mithun Chakraborty back in August 1986! At the launch of their film Guru = which went on to become a blockbuster, as well as their last film together. At the cake cutting ceremony and announcement, the hosts put garlands on them when the arrived on the dais - the two did NOT put it on each other as it was misreported. Just as images are mislabeled, posted without context online today - in early media in the 1980s, these images went viral - often alluding to the alleged marriage between Sridevi and Mithun. Of course we've heard about it for decades with no  proof, evidence, photos or verification from anyone involved - just media hacks. So we take that news with a pinch... well, bucket.. of salt.
