TBT: Throwback Tuesday: Gown and glory: Sridevi, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor

Sridevi wore a sparkling off-should gown while attending IIFA back in 2013. As a tribute to her mother, young Khushi Kapoor repeated the full look at the premiere of her (abysmal) film The Archies.

Sridevi with Jaya Prada

Sridevi was shooting in a film studio for the Tamil film Naan Adimai Illai (1986). Jaya Prada was nearby and she came by to say hello to Sridevi's co-star, Rajinikanth. When the photographers got wind, they begged the two reigning superstars to click a few photos together. And they begrudgingly obliged. More of this shoot is in the archives here and Rajinikanth, Sridevi and Jaya Prada together here.

The first pic is an ai colour correction (and enhancement!) of a Hindi tabloid scan. Both the original and enhanced pic posted together.

TBT: Star & Style: April 1991: Sridevi Breaks Boney's Hold Over Her

Gossip about Boney Kapoor and Sridevi was circulating in the press in the early 90s, long before their marriage in 1996. Star & Style published this feature in April 1991!

Sridevi on CNN: TBT to 2012

Rajeev Masand's interview with Sridevi and Gauri Shinde was great fun - sadly, we can no longer find it on YouTube. Did anyone save the clip?!

We need it for posterity! The most relaxed Sridevi looked and the most fun she seemed to have, aided by her companion, dreictor/writer Gauri Shinde.

When Rajeev asked Gauri if she was a Sridevi was a fun, Sri cut in and said, "I don't think so!"

They all laughed.

Sri was too cute for words.

BTW here's Sridevi looking 22 - when she was 49 when she did the interview!!
