Released on 14 March 1986, gorgeous Sridevi, 22, in Suhaagan. One of the typical Madras make-over melodrama where Sridevi looks absolutely gorgeous. It's essentially a soap opera on film before soap operas took over Indian television! 

One of two films with Sridevi and Padmini Kolhapure, and the only film where Sridevi worked with Raj Babbar.

At the zenith (or nadir - whatever your take on 1980s commercial Bollywood is!) of technicolor melodrama from that notorious decade, this all-star cast drama/musical/comedy features Sridevi, Jeetenddra, Padmini Kolhapure, Raj Babbar, Asrani, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Pran and Tanuja.

Not a fav film... but it was a success. 

With chart-topping music by Bappi Lahiri, the inane lyrics and beats were instant hits that include Ghungta khol na ghunghta, Chamaa cham and Tu ladka garam masala!
