TBT: At the Stardust Awards night in 2009, Sridevi and Vidya Balan were snapped together. They had a major mutual admiration society thing going on. Vidya Balan has stated in several interviews that Sridevi is her all-time favourite actress. Sridevi has praised Vidya for several of her performances... 

The two sat as VIP guests at the award show. Hard to believe Sridevi was older than many of the gathered actresses; the superstar looked absolutely stunning at the event.

Sridevi presented the Lifetime Achievement award to Manoj Kumar at the 40th Dadasaheb Phalke Awards, 2009.

It was also the rarest of rare occasions where Arjun Kapoor - Boney Kapoor' son from his first marriage - was seen at an event and on stage with Sridevi. One of the.... perhaps five pictures we have of the two in the same frame considering the all-too (understandably!) strained, distant and often hostile relationship the two had.

Akshay Kumar and Sridevi look so good together. Though he's only four years younger, their tall, striking figures makes them a great on-screen match. Visually! 

Akshay has said many times he's a huge Sridevi fan and she said he was a thorough professional and gentleman in the one film they did together.

One day... we sigh wistfully... perhaps they could work together in a stellar film...

Sridevi presented Akshay Kumar an award at the Stardust awards. The Kapoors presented Akshay Kumar and his Singh is King producer Vipul Shah the Readers' Choice Best Film award.

The media's fascination with the relationship between Arjun Kapoor (first born of Boney and Mona Kapoor) and his step-mother, Sridevi, is... predictable. 

Both have been tactful and understandably evasive to the prodding, intrusive and often rude questions posed by an alarmingly insensitive tribe of tabloid journalists....

They get along with each other just fine and that's all there is to it.

Salman Khan fans out at Sridevi on stage: 2009: Fanboy for life

Salman Khan gave a fabulous introduction to Sridevi at the UAE National Day Celebrations. 

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Prabhu Deva were all present for the Dreamz 2009 Mega show on December 2, 2009 at Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium. 

Salman Khan said, "I'm here to introduce my favourite, the most talented, the most beautiful, the best in our country, there is no one above and beyond her. For the past 10 years, she's been away from the screen. Katrina isn't even on the same level - I'm telling you, she herself told me. When you see the lady who's coming here, you'll die of shock. She is the most beautiful, the most talented, the most amazing, personality, the most beautiful person, originally from the South, made a big name, No:1 there, and No:1 till today in Bollywood. There are some actresses who do well in the South, who don't do well, they come here [Bollywood], do well here. There are these big stars from the South, they come but they don't do so well here in Bollywood, but this is one lady, who has done well everywhere. And that is, Sridevi. Please welcome, the Sri, the Devi, the ji." 

Later on stage, when Boney Kapoor came up, he said, "No one can give a better introduction than you Salman."
