Sridevi on the sets of Sultanat (1986). Because of her regal demeanor and touch-me-not aura, Sridevi has essayed a lot of imperial roles where she's been a princess, queen, Goddess, other-worldly woman of unattainable, impenetrable power. As RGV had said years ago in an interview, you can't get to Sridevi, nowhere near her orbit; there were walls around her, a fortress of people who blocked the way. Which quite frankly seems all too necessary as in this day and age of instant celebrity, Sridevi remains last of the true superstars. A once in a lifetime supernova in fact.
