A frequent co-star of Sridevi, the irrepressible Anil Kapoor turns 69 today. The stylish grandfather is one of the finest actors of Hindi cinema and also one of the most diligent and hard-working. On occasion he goes a bit over-the-top and his mannerisms have been mimicked by many (Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh can all easily do an imitation!), but mercifully, when he's good, Kapoor is great.
Sridevi worked with him in films like Mr.India, Lamhe, Gurudev, Roop ki Rani Choron Ka Raja....well, a dozen other films over the span of a decade. Some good, some great, some blah, some met with ill-fate.
We wish the actor well. His vast repertoire and filmography aside, he continues to surprise the audience. Ak vs Ak is an underappreciated gem. Unlike his contemporaries and perhaps even those after him, Kapoor is still a wanted and working actor.
