Sridevi in the Telugu film Karthika Deepam with Sobhan Babu: TBT to 1979

Released on 10 May 1979, Telugu film Karthika Deepam featured Sobhan Babu, Sridevi and Sarada as the three leads. 

Though Sobhan Babu won the award for the film, most critics remember Sridevi's stellar performance in the movie--the precious young actress was just 15 and delivered a mature take on a challenging role.
