TBT: Amitabh Bachchan's LAST film! Poster of Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan from the 90s

Where do we begin with this one? Sridevi's and Nagarjuna's name spelt wrong, it certainly wasn't Amitabh Bachchan's last film (he's gone on to do 50 more in fact and given better performances than ever before in Black, Pink, Kaalki... too many to list. The man is a phenomenon...).

It wasn't the 100 crore club but endurance at the theatre that counted. Long runs of silver jubilees and golden jubilees ie 25 weeks or 50 weeks at the theatre. How times have changed...

Sridevi, Mithun, Rakesh Roshan in K Vishwanath's classic Jaag Utha Insan

Easily one of Sridevi's most underrated films, performances and dances in Jaag Utha Insan was released on 6 July 1984, ie 39 years ago today.

If you haven't seen it yet - pls do. And be amazed at young Sri, all of 21, stuns in the movie - a true blue screen Goddess.
