Sridevi wore a sparkling off-should gown while attending IIFA back in 2013. As a tribute to her mother, young Khushi Kapoor repeated the full look at the premiere of her (abysmal) film The Archies.
The most comprehensive fan blog dedicated to India's most beautiful and greatest actress of all-time (in our humble opine!), Sridevi. Sridevi aka Sreedevi, ruled Indian cinema (with awesome performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films) in a career spanning 50 incredible years featuring 266 films. Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.

Golden gal Sridevi in Vajrayudham (1985): Krishna and Sridevi's Telugu film
Sridevi with her hairdresser and then later on set with co-star Krishna in the Telugu film Vajrayudham (1985). For mega fans of Sridevi, you'll note she repeated the outfit in Masterji that same year, but with a different hairstyle.
The Bollywood hit Masterji released on May 31, 1985.
The Telugu hit film Vajrayudham released on July 5, 1985.

Though the popularity of video-cassettes hit India in 1983, unlike today, the Hindi film viewing audience and the Telugu film viewing audiences didn't mix as much, and Sridevi repeated popular looks or styles she personally liked. We have a bit of an archive of her 'repeat outfits' here.
When we first started posting pics of Sridevi, we had a Telugu faction pelt us on Yahoo Groups (remember those?!), saying that we can written a wrong caption (below R pic) as her iconic look from Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (1990) was repeated in Gurudev (1993).

Repeat the look! Sridevi's iconic pink sari
Sridevi repeating her favourite outfits is nothing new, but I wonder if Sri went from set to Filmfare nite...
Wish we had access to Sridevi's work diary. Treasure trove of information on 'the great Sridevi'.

Same same, but different! Stylin' Sridevi in movies: Looks so similar that even WE get confused
![]() |
| Sridevi |

Above: (L) Sridevi in Nigahein (R) Sridevi in Main Tera Dushman
Even we get confused while we go about tagging and labeling images of Sridevi and putting them in the right film category. We've made mistakes - and lordy-lord we be self-professed hardcore mega fans of the Goddess Sri! - so obviously others do too. A lot!
So here's our thumbnail of corrective measures.
Sridevi may not have repeated looks often (well, she did occasionally) but she did repeat styles and here is a confounding array of myriad images of the movie star in similar but different outfits over the years.
Below: (L) Sridevi's dancing diva look for Pathar Ke Insaan. (R) Sridevi's dancing diva look in Naaka Bandi! Sooooo alike... but different amrapali outfits.

Below: (L) Sridevi's engagement look in Chandni. (R) Possibly Sridevi on the sets of... Nagina?

Above: (L) Sridevi in Gurudev, (R) Sridevi in Chandni.
The above created such online ruckus + the usual trolling when we posted on the Sridevi fan page on Facebook - we've now come to expect such lunacy from hardcore fanatics who increase their volume but not their reasoning! The outfits are very similar but obviously different (look at the shoulder length). The picture on the right was posted by YRF with the caption Sridevi in Chandni and a handful went ballistic stating it wasn't - amusing when you think the company had the original pictures, copyright and ownership of it! Now side-by-side, you can see Sri repeated styles, if not outfits.

Below: (L) Sridevi on the sets of Chandramukhi and (R) Sridevi on the sets of Kshana Kshanam and Sridevi in Lamhe

Above: (L) Sridevi on the sets of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari (1990) and (R) Sridevi and Anil Kapoor on the sets of Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993).
Below: (L) Sridevi on the sets of Ghar Sansaar and (R) Sridevi in Waqt Ki Awaaz. Sridevi on the sets of This is a tough one - the only difference is she's wearing a red shirt in one and a red T-shirt in the other!!
