The most comprehensive fan blog dedicated to India's most beautiful and greatest actress of all-time (in our humble opine!), Sridevi. Sridevi aka Sreedevi, ruled Indian cinema (with awesome performances in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films) in a career spanning 50 incredible years featuring 266 films. Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.

Sridevi with model Deepak Malhotra on the sets of Lamhe: The half fake pic trend
Timeless Indian Melodies on social media (I most often see on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) is prolific in writing about Hindi cinema and puts up a quasi-real pic; one half of it is real, the other is conjured up by AI. It's so distracting - something is always a bit off. For example, the above pic. Sridevi wasn't wearing jeans, but a denim skirt. The background was different, model turned non-actor Deepak Malhotra's shoes were different. The real pic is below...

Sridevi in 1989: Sridevi according to AI in 2026: The cultural damage of image modification
Photo editing is a skill - and ai machinery that's "fixing", resurrecting, colour correcting... is putting a generic stamp and impossible beauty standard on women and the slop is erasing women for the natural beauty and flaws and fabulousity. Sridevi's original photos ai corrected is an over correction. To such a point, the post-edited photo looks nothing like the original icon that Sridevi was.... which brings me to the latest rant of the day;

Trending, but its fake

Fake pics aren't real; they are surreal! Even Sridevi fans can't tell the real and the fake in 2026
There's a reason why - ALL are fake. Ai is getting so good, one can no longer distinguish a jpeg hallucination with a real photograph scanned and digitised. Image altered and made to look different from its original print.
As celebrity photos online weirdly morph the real and fake... there's the insidious erasure of the icon by attrition. A little change here on the nose, by the chin, the lip, the eye colour the hair style... by the end, the digital version of Sridevi will look NOTHING like the original legend she was...
Just heard this morning YouTube is deleting fake, ai generated videos en mass online - I hope they can do a clean-up online too - or at least indicate that fake images are... well, fake!

Sridevi with choreographer and dancer
I think the phrase of the year is going to be "AI Slop". We seem to be encountering fakes daily - like a bad penny that keeps cropping up.
The two black and white images here are the original photographs of Sridevi and choreograph/dancer extraordinaire, Gopi Krishna. The legend directed Sridevi in only one film; Jaag Utha Insan. The AI slop is the coloured picture - an AI hallucination. Sridevi's costume was blue and white (as shown in past pics here) and the dancing legend was barefoot - not wearing patent black leather shoes while dancing. You can't see on the pic on the left as his kurta-pajama is long...
Gopi Krishna (the legendary Kathak dancer and choreographer, 1935–1994) choreographed for Sridevi in only one film: Jaag Utha Insan (1984). In that movie (directed by K. Viswanath), he handled her three notable semi-classical/Bharatanatyam-inspired numbers, including “Tarapat Beete” , a Durga Suktam/Tandav sequence, and related dances. These are frequently praised as some of Sridevi’s early standout classical performances in Hindi cinema.Wednesday, 1 April 2026
The Fake pic: The Real Pic: Sridevi, Dharmendra and Vinod Khanna get modified: FOR NO SANE REASON!
Another example of trickery; the left pic is the fake one, the above, the real.
Why bother creating such elaborate ai pics - I recognise that it only takes seconds - but why, WHY make fake images?

This Sridevi and Chiranjeevi Newsbyte is Trending: But is it True?
We are constantly leaving comments on posts - be it false or flattering, it has to be fact-checked.
There doesn't seem to be any compunction to question a piece of information - to even randomly check on Google...
Now this bit about stars earning 1croare - its plausible, possible and potentially true. Chiranjeevi and Sridevi were Telugu superstars and their film JVAS was a massive hit - and Telugu superstars famously are one of the highest paid people in the film industry... The iconic duo earning as much possible - but we need a reliable source to confirm the news on record, otherwise we take it with a pinch of salt.

Sridevi: The AI Modified Edit
Like wildfire, fake pics of Indian celebrities are taking over social media.
Hopefully, platforms will be able to distinguish, highlight and inform viewers when original images have been tampered with.
Fans seem to think a flattering edit means its ok to corrupt original photographs of stars. It is not. It is still tampering. There are images of Sridevi so over edited, it barely looks like the actress. Reminds me of the God-awful Madame Tussaud's figurine of Sridevi. So poorly executed, it would be risible if it wasn't so tragic.
Fake fake fake: AI modified images of Bollywood stars go wild online: Aishwarya Rai, Sridevi, Janhvi Kapoor etc forged online
The problem with AI altered or enhanced imagery is of course that despite its intentions, some of these images look nothing like the real actress. The nose is altered, the eyes enhanced, the skin smoothened beyond natural human reality, the lip shape perfected, one tweak after another and soon, the original is lost altogether. Soon fakes of fakes will prolifer and by the end, the avatar of Sridevi will look nothing like the real Sridevi.
