Sridevi at Madhuri Dixit's Wedding Reception: Bollywood Queens with their family

TBT: Sridevi and Boney Kapoor attended Madhuri Dixit and Shriram Nene's wedding reception in Mumbai with their young daughter Janhvi Kapoor.

At the time of the reception, Madhuri was working in the Hindi film Pukar - under the Kapoor banner.

While the media-fueled rumour of the cold war between the two actresses was written about at length, the two leading ladies were cordial, professional, polite in print about the other from beginning till... the date.

I started collecting every cover, feature, where editors and quasi-journalists (a lot of creative fiction writing went on in film tabloids - as is their nature, in the 80s and 90s) pitted the two against each other, they enforced a battle between the two Bollywood leading ladies in print and almost 98% of the time, the two did not take the bait thrown out to spark a media war - instead, they quashed the question.

Now the rabid response by fan camps of the two leading ladies - whoaaa. If it was bad in the 90s, its vile online.

As a fan of both, we've taken a few shots online from both parties. Having met both Bollywood superstars and interviewed them for international magazines, in awe of both, in reverence of Sridevi.

Who you love as a teen, you'll love till the end of time.

Gorgeous Sridevi in a stunning sari at Tejaswini's wedding reception

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor attend Tejaswini's wedding reception, Jan 2007.

Actress Tejaswini Kolhapure married multi-hyphenate actor, writer, producer director Pankaj Saraswat! Many from the film industry attended.

Tejaswini is the daughter of Pt Pandharinath Kolhapure and is sister of famed actress Padmini Kolhapure, while Pankaj is best known for directing the Great Indian Laughter Show on Star Plus

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor being long-time friends and colleagues of the Kolhapures arrived to wish the newlyweds well.

Draped in a traditional sari and jewellery, Sridevi really looked like the devi she is.
