AI reimagines the friendship between Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit

Well, it does justice to neither superstar as Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi did not look like this. This fakery is trending on social media. Sadly. There will come a time in the not-so-distant future when fake viral clips and images will supercede the real. And reality. Dystopian times ahead.

Fake pics of Sridevi trending online

Vile. Fake pics need to be binned and banned from the net. Its deceptive, a false narrative and often its just unkind. The delusion that fan pic & fan fic(tion) is fandom... Even a flattering image when created by aps or AI is still projecting falsehoods; this is not the hair the star chose, outfit she'd opt for, or a skin or colour patina that she'd willingly choose. I beg all Sridevi fans to stop creating fake pics of the late, great actress. She was just fine as she was. In fact, she was perfect.

India needs to adopt Fact-Checking: Especially the Indian Film Industry and Its Billion fans

India needs to adopt Fact-Checking: Especially the Indian Film Industry and Its Billion fans! You can see the demi-literate publishing fake pics, fake news with zero consequences. But there is a blanket repercussion to this; society is lesser for it with misinformation.

Something as simple as the above pic - with the fake hair added on and the fake eye-colour, that's not what Sridevi actually looked like - these tiny alterations done year by year, eventually, an image of Sridevi will be alive online that resembles nothing like the actual screen icon she was.

The fake pic of Sridevi trending: The real pic next to it. Hopefully a law will pass that fake images have to be tagged as that - fake.

Fake images of Sridevi spreading like a disease

Fake still of Sridevi from Karma, and the original screencap.

Fake images of Sridevi spreading like a disease. Trying to explain to the semi-literate, how their fake pics are damaging in the long-run is like screaming to a wall hoping to end global poverty. Its trading in falsehoods and deception by pixels. You'd think as a mega fan, the AI videos and recreation of Sridevi would inspire the fan in me, but it triggers the truth seeker. Peddling in fake stories is bad enough, now the visual depiction of that is so annoying.

Say no to fakes - we have literally over 10,000 real pics and stills of Sridevi here.

The fake and the real: Indian stars and their fake pic explosion: Sridevi falls victim

The fake and the real: Indian stars and their fake pic explosion. It's such a worrying trend for those who've thought this true... Its misinformation and deception in jpegs. It isn't Sridevi in a red dress, its a morphed pic with a digitally enhanced dress. We'll only be posting fake pics next to their real ones for context.

Sridevi images manipulated through apps and filters trend on Social Media

Sridevi in the film Aulad... well, one pic is real, and the other, overdone by some whitening app.

Sridevi images manipulated through apps and filters trend on Social Media. Draining Sridevi of her originality, her choices, her reality, "fans" reinterpret how they would like her to look versus how she was. Which was perfectly divine. Say no to fakes, and yes to the OG!
