The costumes of Chandra Mukhi are a mix of what was in contemporary fashion in the early 90s + with an element of fantasy. Some of the more elaborate pieces were all by Neeta Lulla.

One of the few films famed Indian film critic Anupama Chandra walked out of, the ill-fated Salman Khan and Sridevi children's fantasy flick, Chandra Mukhi. Like Ms Chopra, I found the film unbearable but have seen the songs and Sridevi's dances innumerable times. Strangely enough, have met young fans, who did in fact like the movie... Go figure.

Sridevi looked smashing in the movie, and Salman Khan's hair changes length at random as the film was delayed in production for years. It's quite comical to watch - same with Chaand Ka Tukdaa. His hair changes style in the same scene/song. Aaah Bollywood in the 90s was a chaotic mess.
