We follow Boney Kapoor's social media handles only in hope he'll post rare images of Sridevi from his private collection of family pics. On occasion, he'll do a golden drop, ie release a rarely seen picture of "the great Sridevi" and have us all gushing.

The stylist edit; same same, but different. Casual pink t-shirt, simple background, nominal accessories, open hair, a welcoming smile... Styling before stylists, they had to all do it on their own and refer to each other as mood boards and sound board. 

There are innumerable images that are cropping up on Pinterest, Instagram and other visual based social media, that are digging out archival images that show...Rekha really was the blueprint!

Real Sridevi Pics vs AI Fakes: How Clickbait Is Burying the Truth Online

 

This image of Sridevi on the left is fake - and used on a book cover/book promotion that deserves no further mention.

AI apps and synthetic manipulation of the actress's original portraits are insidiously encroaching across all social media platforms - not just Sridevi's but Aishwarya Rai's, Rani Mukherjee's Madhuri Dixit's... any actress in the public discourse. Currently, there are more "real" pictures of Sridevi online, but by the end of the year—unless serious action is taken against the proliferation of falsehoods using celebrities' likenesses—there will be more fake pictures than real ones online. The repercussions and tragedy lie in the truth being squandered away for clickbait.

Released on 10 February 1989, after nearly a five year delay in production! Images of Sridevi on set of the film appeared in print magazines in 1984! The long production also makes a fun watch for the peanut gallery to see Sridevi in every size in the film.
