English Vinglish Trailer Launch & Press Preview: Sridevi's back!

The gorgeous Sridevi launched the first promo of her much awaited comeback film English Vinglish at a multiplex in Mumbai on her birthday (Aug 13, 2012). 

Dressed in a white top and lilac Gucci pants, Sridevi looked cute. A beaded necklace, a Gucci chain bag, strappy sandals and a one side braid completed her look.

Looking more chic, elegant, stunning and truly a super duper star - there is simply no one on earth like the one and only; Sridevi 
 

Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in Mr India: How a drunk cockroach helped a scene! Shekhar Kapur reveals ALL!

If you go looking, you will be able to unearth countless anecdotes related to the Monk, most of them bordering on the insane and bizarre. Our favourite is the one about the drunken cockroach posted by director Shekhar Kapur on his blog.

Remember the scene from Mr India in which Sridevi jumps on to the bed in alarm when she spies a cockroach? Did anyone notice how the cockroach was so well behaved throughout the scene? 

‘Well, I needed the cockroach to be very still for the camera as he/she eyed Sridevi threateningly. Focusing takes a long time and the cockroach needed to be patient. So we got the cockroach drunk!! No kidding, we surrounded the cockroach in a pool of my favourite Old Monk Rum and it was soon lolling around like a drunken sailor, giving in to director of photography Baba Azmi’s every demand.

Unbelievable, but hey, talk to anyone on the sets. It was true!’

Sridevi and Jaya Bachchan at Bappi Lahiri's grandson Swastik's birthday party!

Superstar Sridevi and Jaya Bachchan were seen at Bappi Lahiri's grandson Swastik's birthday party at the J W Marriott on 23rd Sept 2010. 

Tall and slim Sridevi in a ponytail looked younger than ever before as flew in and out of the event to wish the family. Bappida was the music-director of several of her films in the 1980s. Though she never worked with Jaya Bhadhuri - Bachchan, Sridevi was seen chatting with the MP as the two have known each other for decades. Obviously fans know Sridevi worked with Amitabh Bachchan in a handful of films in the past.
