Sridevi in pink - shoot from 1987 in Bollywood

Sridevi in pink - shoot from the 1980s. Circa 1987.

A look Sridevi had in the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. Earlier we had listed this as Garajna - but a well-informed fan messaged us to let us know its from a scene in RKRCKR and sent below pic of Anil Kapoor and Sridevi together from the film. We stand corrected. Appreciative of the feedback.

Below: Sridevi in the film Garajna - above during the photo-shoot for magazines.

Sridevi at lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar's birthday bash

Aging in reverse, the stunning Sridevi looked picture perfect as she went up to the residence of noted lyricist/poet/writer Javed Akhtar, to wish him on his birthday. For the fashionistas, Sridevi wore a Valentino pussy-bow blouse with black culottes, a Chanel boy clutch and Gucci pearl sandals.

Sridevi in Switzerland on the sets of Chandni (1989)

YRF on Instagram posted this rarely seen pic of Sridevi on the sets of Chandni. We found these other shots from the series here below:

The images are highly contested by fans as Sri had a similar look in one of the scenes in Gurudev - but if YRF says its from Chandni, then we'll take their word over random rants from trolls and bloggers!

If you carefully parse through the film, you know it appears in a fleeting dream shot. Look for it!

Pretty in Pink: Sridevi in pink ruffles in Pathar Ke Insan (1990)

Sridevi on the sets of Pathar Ke Insan (1990). The pink frills, ruffles and ribbons and... oyve 1980's fashion in Bollywood, the OTT-ness can be overwhelming, but how pretty in pink does Sridevi look?!

As many fashionistas and purveyors have said before, Sridevi was like a living doll who looked good in anything. Sri survived the questionable fashion of that era with such panache, style and natural elegance, her transformation and indeed constant sartorial evolution is reflective of the constant change and evolution of Bollywood too...
