Throwback: An adorable video-clip of Janhvi Kapoor and Sridevi at a Press Conference

Above: Sridevi with her baby girl, Janhvi Kapoor back in 1997. The Stardust magazine cover shot that was leaked to the press.

Below: A charming clip of Janhvi Kapoor and Sridevi addressing the media during the launch of People magazine's cover issue and shoot with the Kapoor family. Sridevi had said it was her all-time favourite shoot as it was with her daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.

The media asked Janhvi, the most predictable question of all, 'When are you going to join films?' The then 15-year-old said, I don't know, I'm still studying in school." It took a turn when she was asked to answer in Hindi - and Sri stole the moment with a lol-worthy anecdote about Janhvi's proficiency in the language.

Thankfully, now, years later, Janhvi has much better control and proficiency in the national language.

The easy camaraderie, love and affection the two shared has been obvious to all.

Throwback Thursday: at the English Vinglish Telugu Trailer Launch

A beaming, beatific, beautiful Sridevi at the Telugu trailer launch of English Vinglish, back in Sept 2012.

Confident and comfortable, it wasn't the shy and reticent Sridevi who took centerstage, but a legend returning to fine form, back on screen. Not only did Sridevi satisfy every fan's expectation of a comeback film, but surpassed it in leaps and leagues.

In a sunny Manish Malhotra sari, the oh-so-pretty Sridevi looked, quite simply, ravishing...

She had the media in the palm of her hand by the time she addressed the audience with the cast and crew of the splendid film.
