Born in Sivakasi on August 13 1963, her untimely and tragic death on February 24, 2018 left a nation in mourning. In our hearts, she'll forever be, the eternal Queen of Bollywood.

Had Sridevi not won the year before for Lamhe, yet another mother-daughter double role, she would have walked away with yet another trophy at hand --Sridevi's finale scene as she reunites with Bachchan was absolutely splendid.
Filmfare thought to reward just the director Mukul Anand, supporting actor Danny Denzongpa and the sound recordists. The film should have won for cinematography too but as all the stars stated, they rather the movie be a popular hit than collect trinkets and trophies from questionable award committees.
