A hobby Sridevi shared with Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan

Like Lata Mangeshkar, Salman Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan, for a while, Sridevi picked up the hobby of taking photographs as a passion project. And she got them published! She took a series of pics of gorgeous Rekha in the mid 1980s and those were published in film magazines. 

Salman Khan famously took the initial pics of Hrithik Roshan, which were published in Stardust magazine. The great, legendary Lata Mangeshkar took innumerable pics of her family and when she went on global tours, she was often seen out and about with her latest camera. Amitabh Bachchan's hobby of collecting watches and cars have been written about, but he remains keen on gadgets galore! The Bachchan family has often stated that he's also the in-house photographer, recording their private gatherings, kids and grandkids.

Sridevi's 62 birth anniversary is just days away (August 13!) and Khushi Kapoor gifts her fans this rare photo of the Indian icon on her social media (L). Sridevi with little Khushi (R) from a press conference for a film the Kapoors were supporting, Matrubhoomi back in 2003.

Sridevi appeared in only one film with the famed curmudgeon, the genius actor Shah in Karma in 1986. Not sure they shared many scenes though. 

Zameen was partly shot - but never released. We keep finding these rare gem pics and the cast is staggering; Vinod Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Rajinikanth, Sri, Madhuri, Nutan... etc  

The world lost out on the only film that Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit worked in together.  Someone pls find those reels and share them online!!!

Honestly, both should have won more awards for this movie. But both also preferred a movie be a huge hit than garner trinckets and trophies!

Born at the turn of the millennium, Khushi Kapoor, Sridevi's youngest child, turns a year older today. We wish the kid well.
