Aussie make-up artist Daniel Bauer currently has the biggest buzz around him in the biz - well, he certainly works with the biggest names... from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone to the OG queen of Bollywood; Sridevi.

His makeup is... fine. 

But our all-time favourite for Sridevi is Mickey Contractor - the legendary makeup artist who has worked with Sridevi in so many photoshoots and films, especially with the late great photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha. 

Not all the images, makeup or hairstyle from this Filmfare cover shoot were great - obviously in many Sridevi looks phenomenal. But in Gautam da's shoots, she looked flawless. 

As a long time observer of B'wood and esp an avid historian of Sridevi and Sri related news, the pattern we've noted with Western crews that come to Bollywood; they are the flavour of the season, but not for all seasons. They come and then they... go. 

Let's see if Dan's the man to stay... or just a flash in the pan.
