Today, actor, producer and director Rakesh Roshan turns 75. Rakesh Roshan acted in one of my all-time favourite films, Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Khoobsurat. And a film he made that flopped but I loved was Khel, His innings as an actor may not have reached the levels of say a Rajesh Khanna, Jeetendra or even Rishi Kapoor, but as producer/director he's in a league of his own - catapulted by the launch and birth of an overnight superstar 2000, Hrithik Roshan. All his films with "Duggu" have been smash successes. Now the world awaits Krrish 4.

Sridevi at Zee Zenith Awards 2007: Boney Kapoor and Sridevi with Karan Johar

Sridevi looked drop dead gorgeous at the Zee Zenith Awards in 2007 when she arrived in a black lace sari embroidered with red rosettes. 

Looking tall, slim and elegant, she was one of the best dressed ladies at the show that was held in Malaysia. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor were called on stage to present the award for Best Actress, which went to Sridevi's favourite actress from the new generation; Kajol. Karan Johar accepted the award on Kajol's behalf as she wasn't in the country for the occasion. 

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor sat in the VIP front row beside Pinky and Rakesh Roshan, Rekha and others. 

Shahrukh Khan greets Sridevi at Zee Cine Awards

This was a 'moment'!! 

Shahrukh Khan was leaving the stage and returning to his seat when he saw Sridevi seated in the front row at the Zee Cine awards function. 

As a life-long fan of the former Queen of Bollywood, he went up to Sridevi to wish her. Sridevi looked pleasantly surprised as she was charmed by King Khan. 

Seated in the same row were producer/director Rakesh Roshan, with his wife Pinky, yester-year actress Rekha, along with a host of other VIPs, perhaps none more resplendent than Sridevi who sported a black and red embroidered sari and looked smashing. Wonder if Sridevi will finally return to film - back where she belongs?
