Even in 2012, Sridevi brought up The Bodyguard in an interview - the Whitney Houston, Kevin Costner blockbuster that was released in 1992. 

In 1994, there was much discussion about adapting the film in Hindi with buff action star Sunil Shetty and superstar Sridevi. However, the film never went beyond early pre-production days.
