Sridevi in Canada for IIFA 2011: Gown and Glory of a Goddess

If online rumours are anything to go by (oh don't get us started!), Sridevi and family have confirmed attendance to IIFA 2014 in the US. 

After her splendid turn on the red carpet at IIFA 2011 in Toronto (left) and IIFA Macau, we fans can't wait to see her red carpet appearance. 

The Sari Situation: Sridevi at IIFAA 2012: Best Dressed

In a bright mustard Manish Malhotra sari, embroidered with a gold fringe and a made-to-measure sleeveless blouse and a complementary clutch on hold, Sridevi attended IIFA 2012 in Singapore to essentially outshine all the contemporary actresses of note. 

Nearly 50 and as fabulous as ever, the actress makes a comeback, come September, but clearly the diva is a woman for all seasons. 

Easily the Best Dressed actress on the red carpet... correction on the 'green' carpet. 

BTW if there's ever an example of token 'woke' eco warriorism, its this fking green carpet. You know creating this rug in that dye and with that material is ANYTHING but environmentally friendly. But then, its one of many things wrong with IIFA... 

Now, back to the great thing about it; Sridevi attends almost every year and always looks like a million bucks.

Sridevi gets air-kissed by Farhan Akhtar on stage at IIFA. Farhan was assistant to director Yash Chopra during the making of Lamhe, a film that was written by his mother Honey Irani (who was also an actress). Lamhe of course went on to win several award including those for Sri and Honey.

Sridevi and family walk the 'green' carpet in Singapore for IIFA 2012. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor graced the stage to give away the Best Film trophy to the team of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

In an off-shoulder yellow Manish Malhotra sari, flanked with emerald and diamond earrings, the fashion minions and bloggers have already given Sridevi the thumbs up.

Sridevi is, once again, listed among the best-dressed at IIFA 2012.

BTW Farhan Akthar - who was an assistant director to Yash Chopra during the making of Lamhe in the early 1990s, got an air-kiss from Sridevi on stage when his film won an award,
