Sridevi at Fugly's First Screening: Sri matches Mohit Marwah on the denim trend

Mohit Marwah with Sridevi

Soon after Sridevi landed from her eventful trip to Tokyo (where English Vinglish's Japanese dub, Madam in New York, opened this past week to glowing reviews), the legendary actress stepped out in Mumbai to attend nephew Mohit Marwah's debut film Fugly.

Son of Reena (Boney Kapoor's sister) and Sandeep Marwah, the youngster's first film has a great buzz going for it among the young collegiate crowd. In attendance at the screening accompanying Sridevi were her daughters Janvhi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, among a host of other celebrities and family members of the Kapoor/Marwah clan.

Bollywood Queen to Princess?

After wowing critics and audiences with her grand comeback in English Vinglish, Sridevi is all set to return to her roots in Tamil cinema.

Her next film will be in Tamil, dubbed in Hindi. Directed by Chimbu Devan, the film will also feature Tamil superstar Vijay and Kannada star Sudeep.

But she will play the main role of a princess. Confirming these developments, Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor says, "Yes, she is doing a film with the Tamil star Vijay. That's all I can reveal at the moment." In this fantasy caper Sridevi would play a princess whose province is imperiled by the evil machinations of her enemy. Sri had earlier played a princess in Chandramukhi and Khuda Gawah.

Apparently, her daughters persuaded Sridevi to complete her trilogy of royal films by doing a third film where she is cast as a princess.
