Kapoors and Wives: TBT To this Kapoor Family Dinner

Throwback to happier times; Sridevi with her husband and in-laws during a dinner back in 2012.

Sridevi's look from her promo launch of English Vinglish that year.

-- 14 June, 2012.

In pic, Sridevi behind Boney Kapoor, Maheep behind Sanjay Kapoor and Sunita behind Anil Kapoor.

Behind every successful man...

Sridevi with Raveena Tandon, Lata Mangeshkar and Anil Kapoor

As the images featured Sridevi, Raveena Tandon and Anil Kapoor, there are blogs and Instagram posts stating the pics are from a Laadla film premiere/party/audio launch. None of it is true! In fact, this was an audio launch by HMV that had nothing to do with the film that was released months before!

More in the archive here. At a time when Sridevi rarely attended events, she dazzled by making a surprise appearance for Lata Mangeshkar.

Sridevi at the audio launch of Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe in 2002: With Sanjay Kapoor, Esha Deol, Hema Malini

This power suit by Sridevi is so beautiful. And Sridevi, 38 at the time, looks so gorgeous. The ill-fated launch of Esha Deol in Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe (2002)... Daughter of the two greatest movie stars of Indian cinema--Dharmendra and Hema Malini--she was a pretty debutant but, sadly ill-prepared. Gautam Rajadhyaksha had said early on that she's too young to jump in and needed growing up, but the keen teen paid no heed.

Sanjay Kapoor wasn't too bad as the villain this movie btw... but as the film tanked, very few people took note.

There's Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Boney's youngest brother Sanjay Kapoor, toddler Janhvi Kapoor, Sridevi's mother-in-law (Boney's mother) Nirmal Kapoor....

Rare Pic: Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and Sridevi on the sets of Mr.India (1987).

Sanjay Kapoor was just 22 back then on the sets of the film, assisting the production team (it was a Kapoor home production).

Sanjay Kapoor didn't make a debut in Bollywood till 1995 in the much-delayed film Prem.

Today is Sanjay Kapoor's 55th birthday.

Sanjay Kapoor has the notoriety of being the first person to confirm the tragic news of Sridevi's death with the Indian media, the morning of Feb 25, 2018.  Sri of course passed the night before...

Arjun Kapoor with Sridevi and Boney Kapoor

It's the rarest of moments - think we only have two in the archive - of Arjun Kapoor standing in the same frame as Sridevi. Seen here at a producer's guild award honouring the Kapoor patriarch Surinder Kapoor, when all the men attended to honour the head of the family. This was over a decade ago...

Sridevi's private Birthday Bash!

Awaiting pics. So far, a few that have hit the twitter-verse! Sridevi's private family bash on her birthday - a larger, lavish party planned for the weekend later on.

From Fashion Blogs:

The ever-fashionable Indian actress sported a high-waist trouser/top combo from Temperley London’s spring/summer 2013 collection and accessorised her look with nude peep-toe pumps and a red Chanel clutch.

Seen here, Sridevi and family cutting cake on her birthday. Hair and heir apparent.

All in the Family

After the festivities surrounding the trailer launch of English Vinglish on her birthday, Sridevi went home for a private celebration with her nearest and dearest.

Rare insight into Sridevi's private life. Lovey pics of a gorgeous family celebrating together.

Meanwhile, loving the S cake for Sridevi; she indeed is our Superwoman!

A decade separates the two events and still the former No:1 actresses of Bollywood look divine in each and every frame.

Sridevi and her exquisite taste in saris and salwaars. So gorgeous...

Sridevi sizzles in a white Sari: June 2006

Sridevi in a white saree looking gorgeous. Just after she'd given birth to second daughter Khushi Kapoor, Sridevi was seen in a event positively glowing.

As you can see in the blog and many other sites, Sridevi is often seen at events with Manila Santoshi, wife of the fine film director Rajkumar Santoshi (Damini, Ghayal, and a personal favorite Andaz Apna Apna!). Not only are Sridevi and Manila friends, so are their children.

Also in photos, Sanjay Kapoor, Boney Kapoor and others.
