Sridevi, Sreelatha, young Hrithik Roshan and... ?

This is circa 1986 - young Hrithik Roshan was co-star to the great Sridevi (we should just rename her such a la Cesar). Would love to know context to these pics at someone's birthday party - the lady in black and white print could tell us more - clearly Sridevi's friend as she has a bunch of pics with Sridevi over the years.

Happy Birthday Madhuri Dixit! Sridevi celebrates Madhuri on a film set

Back in 1999, Sridevi was on her maternity leave from movies - but her film producer husband was in the thick of production, the film Pukar, starring Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor, was in full steam. 

During the making of the movie, it was Madhuri's birthday when Sridevi popped in to celebrate with her famed contemporary. 

Here we are today, two decades later, its May 15th and its gorgeous Madhuri's birthday - we celebrate her achievements and symbiotic, parallel relationship she had with Sridevi. The two have been interlinked by the media, compared to each other as early as 1985 till date. 

Madhuri Dixit has eulogised Sridevi in print and on television, remarking on the remarkable career and person Sridevi was. Just when you think the media war between the two is long buried, the fan bases get triggered on twitter now and again. Oh well, you can't please them all - you certainly can't appease them.

Sridevi and Mithun Chakraborthy in garlands: Event for the film Guru

Sridevi and Mithun at an event circa 1987. Also in the audience, Sridevi's younger sister Srilatha. Anyone know what event / what occasion this was? 

Pls no one daft enough to say it was their wedding - cause it wasn't! 

It's either the mahurat/launch of Guru or audio launch or a party to celebrate the success of the film as the cast and crew of Guru are in the pics including Shakti Kapoor, 

Or was it something else?!! Date/location/place?? 

Sridevi in Dubai

 

From June 2015, when Sridevi was in Dubai. to receive a trophy from the Asiavison Radio and Television Awards from the Middle East region. A medley of songs and dances were preformed by young dancers honouring Sridevi. Sridevi looked like a complete diva on stage, outshining all.

May 15 - it's Madhuri Dixit-Nene's birthday today.

The respective fan clubs of each actress has been vile on Twitter - when the ladies were anything but. Both spoke highly of the other from beginning to tragic end.

100 Luminaries book Launch: Sridevi and Anil Kapoor VIP guests at event

When former MOVIE magazine editors launched their book, 100 Luminaries of Indian Cinema, they got Sridevi and Anil Kapoor for the occasion. 

Sridevi arrived from the set of Judaai and as the caption aptly said, 'Sridevi was dressed simply and looked simply stunning."

She looks so cute as she cuts the cake. Just a hint of a smile... 

So used to her wearing bizarre costumes in Bollywood, simpler the outfit, the more gorgeous she looked. Sridevi was around the age of 33-34 here - and remained as beautiful as ever.
