This issue hit newsstands around the time of Gumrah's release in cinemas across the nation - in fact that month Sridevi was on the cover of several magazines simultaneously and media mavens pointed out that her strategy (or her manager's) was a coup, a media blitzkrieg. 

Averse to irreverent questions by pesky tabloid journalists, not particularly fond of photoshoots to perforate her wildly busy schedules, magazine editors often complained they had to chase Sridevi for months before she complied for an interview or photo session. This was unlike her legendary senior or famed contemporary (you know who!), Sridevi didn't make much time for photoshoots hence there aren't as many original portrait sessions of Sridevi on set as there are of others. Pity. She was as glorious on camera - of any kind.
