Sridevi in and as Chandra Mukhi (1993): Yet another title role for a Bollywood legend

Sridevi in and as Chandra Mukhi - a film written by, God-help-us, Salman Khan. Possibly the worst film she ever did if not Chand Ka Tukda - also co-starring Khan. And that's including much of the hogwash from the 1980s!

On the plus side... well, it had a few good songs and Sridevi looked great throughout. But nothing could save this 'children's-fantasy-film' from tanking at the box-office.

BTW not to say there aren't fans of this movie - we found many on Facebook! And no one was more surprised than us. Even Sridevi mentioned in an interview in the '90s that she faced a lot of flak for doing Chandra Mukhi and Chand Ka Tukda. Ah well... C'est la vie... 

Oddly enough, Sridevi's dance routine and this song itself - Maine ungli - was beautifully shot and performed by Sridevi. Yet another print, feather and glittering dance costume on Sri. Its amazing how good Sridevi looked no matter what she wore...
