Looks like Sridevi’s comeback film is in jeopardy. Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji was supposed to produce the film but we heard the movie has seriously gone over budget. So now they’ve put the movie on the back burner. The buzz was that they’d approached Amitabh Bachchan to play the lead opposite Sridevi. But there’s another stream of talk which maintains that the role of the lead male isn’t meaty enough so Bachchan refused it. Any way with the movie almost shelved, none of this really matters. Does it?

Its quite irritating for me and others who are bind admirer of Sridevi. Speculation over the years about her comeback into the films has always ended up with the obvious headline that is: Sridevi's comeback project has been shelved/ postponed. No one but Sridevi herself and Mr. Boney Kapoor should take the responsibility before the next round of speculation.
ReplyDeleteI would stop loving Sridevi if she does not comeback this time..mind it!!!Understand you better understand!!!
ReplyDeleteI really hope and pray Ekta gets the financing sorted and starts the movie as planned. Else, like the rest of you, I will be disappointed gravely. Especially since, for the first time in over a decade, the news of her comeback actually seemed legit.
ReplyDeleteAmitabh Bachchan not interested to cast himself opposite Sridevi does not mean that there is no one to sign opposite her. Mrs. Gauri Shinde should opt for stars like Akshay Kumar or John Abraham to enact the role of an upwardly mobile man. Secondly, as far as Balaji Telefilms has washed off hands as producer to the film is concerned, arn't there any other producers in the industry? What about Mr. Boney Kapoor?
