Sridevi and Kamal Haasan have been a part of many blockbusters and iconic South Indian films. Their onscreen chemistry has always set the silver screen on fire.
Sridevi began working before the camera from a young age and began with the movie Kandhal Karunai (1967) and debuted as an adult in movies the 1970s.

Kamal Haasan also started out as a child artist with the movie Kalathur Kannamma (1959). He returned to the film industry as an adult in the movie Maanavan (1970).
Sridevi and Kamal Haasan were first seen together in the Tamil drama Moondru Mudichu (1976). They were next seen together in the Tamil movie 16 Vayathinile (1977).
Rajinikanth was also a part of both these movies. This pair became even more popular with the release of the Tamil classic Varumayin Niram Sigappu (1980).

The duo’s first (and last!) Hindi movie together was Sadma (1983) and it went on to become very popular.
Apart from these movies, they have also done Sigappu Rojakkal (1978), Neela Malargal (1979) and Guru (1980) in Tamil, Erra Gulabeelu (1979), Akali Rajyam (1981) in Telugu and Kuttavum Shikshayum (1976), Nirakudom (1977) in Malayalam.
Sridevi and Kamal Haasan’s great onscreen chemistry has been evident ever since their first movie. There were no rumors about any links between the two artists off screen [well, there were in tabloids but both laughed it off!] and they maintained a wonderful working relationship.
Both Sridevi and Kamal Haasan started acting at the age of four as child artists.
