Government of Maharashtra felicitates Sridevi



Government of Maharashtra felicitates Sridevi for winning the Padmashree Award. She was honoured at Raj Bhawan by the Governor Shankar Narayan.

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Sridevi was felicitated by the Governor of Maharashtra, K. Sankaranarayanan, on Maharashtra day, at the Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.

Earlier this year, Sridevi received a Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour.

In keeping with the occassion, Sridevi wore a beautiful pink and white anarkali. The actress was accompanied by husband Boney Kapoor, dressed sharply in a suit.

The Padma Bhushan recipients that the Governor felicitated from Maharashtra included:

Dr. Kanak Rele, Shivajirao Girdhar Patil (Public Affairs), Adi Godrej (Trade & Industry) and Dr Nandkishore Laud (Medicine). The Padmashree award recipients included Sridevi (Art–Cinema), Brahmadeo Pandit (Art), Jaymala Shiledar (Art), Apurba Kishor Bir (Art), Sudha Motwani (Art), Prof. Mustansir Barma (Art), Deepak Phatak (Science & Engineering), Prof. Sharad Kale (Science & Engineering), Milind Kamble (Trade & Industry), Kalpana Saroj (Trade & Industry), Dr Rajendra Badwe (Medicine), Dr Amit Maydeo (Medicine), Dr S. Natarajan (Medicine) and Shri Ngangom Singh (Sports). Also, Master Sameep Anil Pandit was felicitated by the Governor who received the bravery award.
