There's a huge fallacy online that proposes that Anil Kapoor and Sridevi did the maximum number of films together. This is categorically not true; but they did appear in about 15 films together. It just seems that they did several dozen films as the powerful images of the duo were dotted across cinema halls throughout the 1980s and 1990s, where the two superstars did several iconic films and songs together. Of variable quality and box-office success yet, all too indelible in Bollywood.
From the above, images of Sridevi and Anil Kapoor on the sets of Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Gurudev, Mr.India and Lamhe. Love the 'outtake' shot of Anil and Sridevi [second pic above] from the sets of Gurudev, the song 'Sachi sachi...'. As it is so rare to see Sri goof-up and make that cheeky expression. And even in that she looks so cute/beautiful!

Do note, Sridevi was not cast opposite Anil Kapoor in Karma, Janbaaz, Joshilay either. In fact in Janbaaz, they had no scenes together at all as she was cast opposite Feroz Khan and really has an extended cameo more than a full-fledged role. However, as she had the most memorable song and sensuous, iconic red-chiffon-sari clad scene, many remember the film simply for Sridevi! Not sure if Bombay Talkies counts either as was just a five second cameo as part of an all-Bollywood ensemble...
