After the unfathomably long self-imposed hiatus, this one moment in the film English Vinglish was enough for fans of Sridevi, Bollywood, well, Indian cinema at large... to weep with joy!

It is a loss to films when someone of Sridevi's caliber, stature and effortless charm is kept at bay while lesser talents feign acting skills and mimic false sentiments on screen. Innumerable times, the actress of note has elevated the art.


Here's hoping (wishing/praying!) Sridevi's return to screen occurs in a more frequent manner.
