Sridevi and Waheeda Rehman in Chandni (1989)

Waheeda Rehman acted with Sridevi in four memorable films and was
one of the first few to arrive at the Kapoor residence upon hearing the shocking news of Sri's untimely passing.
From her early days - Sridevi's second Hindi film - to her last, Waheeda Rehman praised Sridevi for her artistry. In fact, she was so pleased with the film Lamhe, she mentioned in several interviews that she would like that to be her last appearance. Thankfully, friends and colleagues refused to let the ageless one retire early.
