Born on 7 November 1954, the multi-hyphenate veteran actor, director, dancer, writer, producer Kamal Haasan turns 66 today.

The two did a whopping 21 films together, between 1976 (Moondru Mudichu) and 1986 (Oka Radha Iddaru Krishnulu) in multiple languages. There were several rumours that producers and directors - and Kamal himself - were trying to get the two superstars and super actors to work together again but.... alas, it wasn't meant to be.
Tabloids and unsubstantiated rumours suggested that though they worked together often enough, Sridevi wasn't particularly fond of the actor - when there was little evidence to bolster that theory. Whenever the two met, the stars remained respectful and gracious, albeit at arm's length. More a reflection of Sridevi's innate shyness than any open hostility.
Whatever the fact may be, reality is, though they did nearly two dozen films together, the audience craved for one more...
Kamal Haasan's touching tribute after she suddenly passed resonates with us till date. Thankfully, there are more good memories than that one travesty of Feb 24, 2018...
