If we go by audience reaction - and gage that by the box-office collection and the repeat audience chart - then, statistically, most people preferred Sridevi's performance in Chandni. However, when you look at what the critics of their time said about Sridevi's polished, refined performance in Lamhe, and the number of awards Sridevi won for it, then Sridevi as Pallavi/Pooja is the chosen performance.
