Lamhe's stellar turn at Filmfare: 13 nominations, five wins! 30 Years of Yash Raj's iconic film

 

Lamhe was nominated for  a whopping 13 nominations and went on to win five.

Best Story – Honey Irani

Best Dialogue – Rahi Masoom Reza

Best Director – Yash Chopra

Best Actor – Anil Kapoor

Best Supporting Actress – Waheeda Rehman

Best Comedian – Anupam Kher

Best Music – Shiv-Hari

Best Lyrics – Anand Bakshi for "Kabhi Main Kahoon"

Best Playback Singer – Male – Hariharan for "Kabhi Main Kahoon"

Best Cinematography – Manmohan Singh

Note:

The film should have won more awards; Best Director for Yash Chopra, Best Supporting Actress for Waheeda Rehman (a nuanced, perfect performance - that moment when she swings into Kaanton se kheench ke... hearts skipped a bit nation-wide), best cinematography (the sand dunes of Rajasthan + the scenic shots of Britain, shot and lit so differently and with each frame looking like art, Best Choreography (the traditional dance of Morni and the modern twist Sri does in the latter half of the film). 

And Anupam Kher should have won Best Supporting Actor, not comedian - as Kirron Kher said on stage on Filmfare nite!
