A lol still from Gair Kanooni - the only film starring Sridevi and Govinda. A 80s hit film, it was shot so far back, Govinda was thin and Sri wasn't!
Not a fav movie, but it has its moment... Wish the two had done a kick ass comedy - both were so good at it (and in equal ease in histrionics).
Govinda is the paradigm model for making poor choices in the later stage of his career. Losing great films, not accepting his age gracefully, losing the battle of the bulge, a complete lack of self awareness, saying no to projects where he could have excelled and opting for lower-hanging fruit... more is the pity as he's such a gifted actor, none of which has been fully exploited. Alas...
