Sridevi and Anil Kapoor on the sets of Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja in the late 80s and 90s

Sridevi and Anil Kapoor on the sets of Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja in the late 80s and 90s.

Looking back at a time when films were made in stop-gap sessions that lasted often for years. Sridevi found them tiresome and said as much - Bollywood was so notoriously badly organised in the '80s and early 90s - so many of Sridevi's films had long production schedules like Joshilay, Gair Kanooni, Naaka Bandi, Farishtay and most notoriously, Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja

You can see fashions change, hairstyles change, Sridevi's weight change... you can tell what was shot in the 80s and what in the early 90s...

As we've said before several times, there are many moments in the film that work - and several that don't. We've seen parts of the film several times just to see the magic of the great Sridevi.

Below: Menaka, the Hindi tabloid featuring Sridevi and Govinda.
