Kamal Haasan and Sridevi in the Tamil film Neela Malargal (1979), which is the remake of the Hindi film Anuraag (1972).

Sridevi had expressed in an interview she grew tired of doing remakes - unless they were hits! 

Not surprising, Sridevi appeared in a lot of remakes in the 1970s and 80s. Sometimes her own films! 

Sridevi also appeared in the film Anuraagaalu (1975) which was her first leading lady role as an actress in Telugu. 

Keeping track of Sridevi's complicated career is a full-time gig in itself.
