The 1980 Telugu action comedy film was directed by B. V. Prasad. The film stars Sridevi with her most-frequent co-star of all time, Krishna.
Released on 8 August 1980, the film became a commercial success and was remade in Tamil as Pokkiri Raja (1982) and in Hindi as Mawaali (1983), with Sridevi reprising her role for both.
In jest, Sridevi had said in Stardust that she found remakes tiresome - but didn't mind it when they became hits!
Sridevi worked in a lottttttttttt of remakes - compiling the list alone has been exhausting - imagine making it.
