Today is Prema Narayan's 70th birthday!
A former Miss India (1971!), a beauty queen who should have had the opportunities like the current lot of model turned leading ladies, but somehow got constantly relegated to the 'best friend of the lead' role. She famously starred with Rekha in Rekha's career-defining Umrao Jaan. She acted with Sridevi in Justice Choudhary (1983), Waqt Ki Awaz (1987) and Majaal (1987). Why she even acted with Madhuri Dixit in Thanedaar (1990).
